The ties between the Republic of Moldova and Greece have become closer, especially through tourism. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, about 21,000 Moldovans in 2024 chose Greece as a holiday destination, IPN reports.
Statistics show that the number of Moldovan tourists who choose Greece increases constantly, thus strengthening the ties between the two countries.
Greece remains one of the most popular choices for Moldovan tourists due to its spectacular landscapes, Greek hospitality and varied holiday offers. Destinations such as Crete, Santorini, Rhodes and Halkidiki attract thousands of visitors annually, and travel agencies confirm that Moldovans' interest in Greek holidays continues to grow.
The Greek Independence Day is celebrated in Greece as a national holiday on March 25.
