In the first quarter of this year, the number of individuals and businesses issued with digital signatures rose from the similar period last year by 10% to over 9,800, the Financial Information Technology Center (CTIF) reported.
In the first half of the year, the number of individuals that received digital signatures increased by 14.4% to about 8,300, while the number of legal entities with digital signatures decreased by 10% to about 1,500.
CTIF says the trend is due to the increasing number of documents and public services where digital signatures can be applied.
Digital signatures can be obtained online. Alternatively, they can be requested at the CTIF offices in Chisinau (Constantin Tănase, 6) or Balti (Ștefan cel Mare, 128), with the process taking no longer than 30 minutes.
