The novel coronavirus claimed five more lives in Moldova on April 14, taking the death toll to 41, IPN reports.

According to Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu, 183 patients with COVID-19 are currently in a serious state. The other infected persons are in a medium grave or satisfactory state. As many as 171 infected patients got cured.

A number of 135 personas are receiving treatment at home under the supervision of family doctors.

Of the 1,934 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Moldova, 124 were imported, while the rest are local transmission cases. Three of the 41 persons who succumbed to the virus were doctors.
