The number of cases of COVID-19 among children has increased in Chisinau. Almost all the places in children’s hospital were filled, deputy head of the Health Division Boris Gîlca stated in the September 2 meeting of officials of municipal services, IPN reports.

According to him, the hospitals in Chisinau can accept 927 persons infected with COVID-19. There are sufficient beds and additional places for the treatment of infected persons will be created if need be. The hospitals in Chisinau were provided with sufficient medicines and medical devices.

Boris Gîlca also said that the infections with COVID-19 in the municipality rose to over 15,000, with 700 of those infected being healthcare workers. As many as 768 infected people are now being treated at health facilities. Of them, 183 are in a series state and seven were put on a ventilator.

The death toll from COVID-19 in Chisinau stands at 328. Almost 10,000 persons recovered, while about 12,000 are under medical supervision.
