November local elections will cost over 165,000 lei

The November 15 local elections will cost 44,770 lei, while the November 29 elections – 121,138 lei. The expenditure estimate was approved at the last meeting of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Info-Prim Neo reports. On November 15, local elections will be held in the villages Larguta (Cantemir district), and Semionovca and Stefanesti (Stefan Voda), while on November 29 – in Moara de Piatra (Drochia), Branzeni (Edinet), Seliste (Orhei), Papauti (Rezina), Regina Maria (Soroca), and Fuzauca (Soldanesti). According to the CEC president Eugeniu Stirbu, 8,188 ballots will be printed for the November 29 elections, including 7,693 in the official language and 495 in Russian. A number of 3,532 ballots have been printed for the November 15 elections, 2,913 of which in the official language. The terms of the mayors of Branzeni, Semionova, Seliste and Regina Maria villages expired beforehand as the given mayors passed away. In the other cases, the mayors are under suspended sentences and were deprived of the right to hold responsible positions in the local and central public administration for a particular period of time.
