Only 38 parties of the 46 registered presented reports on financial management for the first quarter of 2018 to the Central Election Commission (CEC). The parties that didn’t meet the time limit will be fined, IPN reports.
In the August 21 meeting of the CEC, the Commission’s secretary Veaceslav Agrigoroae said 33 parties presented reports on time, while five parties with delay. These are: the Sociopolitical Movement of the Roma, the Party “Action and Solidarity”, the Russian-Slavic Party of Moldova, the European People’s Party of Moldova and the Conservative Party.
Another eight parties haven’t yet presented reports. These are: the Party “Democracy at Home”, the Party of Socialists, the Political Party “New Historical Option”, the Political Party “Moldova’s Salvation Front”, the Sociopolitical Movement “New Force”, the Republican Party of Moldova and the Political Party “Renaissance”.
Under the Contravention Code, the non-presentation of reports on the financial management by political parties on time and in the format decided by the Central Election Commission, including the presentation of incomplete data in the report, is punished with a fine of 9,000 to 15,000 lei.
