The norms for using company cars by different categories of public servants were reviewed, IPN reports, with reference to a Government decision.

The distance covered by the company car should not exceed 22,000 km a year in the case of ministers. This is by 10 km less than now.

The Government’s secretary general, the head of the President’s staff and the presidents of the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court of Justice will have to obey the same limit.

The Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Ministers will have the right to travel limitlessly by company cars.

The norm for the directors of the Customs Service and the Tax Service will be 30,000 km.

About 28,000 km could be covered by company cars by the heads of the local offices of the State Chancellery. The limit for the deputy secretary generals of the Government or the state secretary generals of ministries, presidential advisers and main state advisers to the Prime Minister and the head of the presidential press service will be 20,000 km.

The former Presidents of the Republic of Moldova will travel at most 12,000 km a year by company cars.
