Nominative compensations for power to be included in September invoices
The nominative compensations set by the Government for the payment of electric power, as of August 1, will be included in the invoices issued in September. In order to inform each domestic consumer from villages, who will benefit from the compensations, the information will be included in the invoices for the payment of power.
“Union Fenosa” Company (power supplier) announces that on the territory served by the distribution companies RE Chisinau, RED Centru and RED Sud the data of the power-meters are verified daily, so that the payment period does not coincide with the beginning and end of the month.
The state will fully compensate the new tariff for the domestic consumers from villages only in the case of consumption smaller than 60 kWh. There will be 675 thousand beneficiaries of compensations in villages and 80 thousand beneficiaries in the case of those 13 socially-disadvantaged categories for which the state will pay 25-50% from the cost of the tariff for power.
The state will spend MDL 47 mln in August-December for the compensation of the tariff increase for the consumers from villages and MDL 1.23 mln for the socially-disadvantaged categories.
The consumers from the north of the country supplied by the distribution networks RED-Nord and RED-Nord-Vest will receive on average a compensation of MDL 18 and those supplied by “Union Fenosa” – MDL 10.8. The compensations to the total sum of MDL 9.5 mln monthly will be paid from the Reserve Fund of the Government.
The National Agency for Energy Regulation announced on July 31 that the power will be by 23% dearer, up to MDL 96/kWh for the consumers of “Union Fenosa” and by 44%, up to MDL 1.01/kWh - in the north of the country.
The new tariff will come into force on the date when it will be published in “The Official Monitor of Moldova”.
