Besides fine, legal entities risk being banned from operating for a period of three months to a year if they make noise at night. The authorities aim to amend the Contravention Code given the large number of cases of disturbance of the peace by making noise, IPN reports.

It goes to noise made during 10pm and 7am. Such violations are considered singing with loud voice, acoustic signaling, use of audio equipment with high intensity in dwellings or in public spaces and other similar acts.

“Following the conducted analyzes, it was established that a large number of cases of disturbance of the peace were recorded in the municipality of Chisinau in 2022, including different violations in recreational places in the mentioned territorial unit,” said the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
 
The initiative to amend the Contravention Code was formulated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General’s Office. The bill is to be considered by the Cabinet and the Parliament.
