No suspect in car explosion case yet
The Ministry of the Interior does not yet have a suspect in the explosion of the car of the ANRE director Nicolae Raileanu. Minister of the Interior Alexei Roibu Thursday told the journalists that the operative group is examining the pictures taken by the video cameras set up near the place of the blast, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“Those pictures will help establish the circumstances of the incident. They are being analyzed by the operative group,” said Alexei Roibu.
The car of the director of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) caught fire in the evening of April 10. It was parked not far from the Oncological Institute. Allegedly, the car blew up because of a grenade. A metallic plate that supposedly formed part of a grenade was found at the scene.
Nicolae Raileanu, who was slightly injured, believes that it was an attack related to his job. The administration of the ANRE considers the explosion forms part of a series of acts aimed at intimidating the directors and other employees of the Agency.
