No more authorizations for kiosks
The Municipality has definitively stopped issuing authorizations for erecting various kinds of commercial kiosks in Chisinau following an ordinance issued by Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca on July 6, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the head of the Municipal Council’s division for trade, catering and services Vladimir Nirca, the issuing of authorizations has been stopped. In the first 6 months of the year, only 23 authorizations were issued, 10 of which were for kiosks placed in a market in Botanica.
“We are currently inspecting alongside the district head's offices the situation of kiosks whose authorizations have expired. We estimate their number at 120. They don’t work anymore and will be removed”, declared Vladimir Nirca.
On the same topic, Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca added that in fall the city will resume the monitoring of how kiosks are removed. The actions will not affect traders who still have an authorization. They will be allowed to continue their activity until they give it up willingly. In such cases, the kiosks will be removed so that other companies won’t be able to use them again.
