No government official took part in Sorin Paciu’s funeral, Dorin Chirtoaca

Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said that according to the information furnished to him, the funeral of Sorin Paciu, who was wounded fatally during hunting in the Domneasca Forest, was attended by no government official. The mayor made related statements in the February 11 questioning held by the parliamentary commission of enquiry, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The mayor said that the verifications were carried out with the help of the councilor in charge of relations with the police Vadim Cojocaru and the heads of “Chisinau-Proiect” Institute and the Funeral Services.
According to Dorin Chirtoaca, only the participation of Chisinau councilor Iurie Nastas and businessman Ghenadie Sajin was confirmed. “I understood that the prosecutor general was also present, but I do not have confirmation,” he stated.
Later today, the commission of enquiry will question Sergiu Railean, Ion Lupu, and Iurie Garaba.
