No firings and hirings planned in Cabinet

The Pro-European Coalition didn’t discuss possible Cabinet reshuffles, deputy head of the Democratic Party Igor Corman and deputy head of the Liberal Democratic Party Valeriu Strelet told the journalists when they were asked about the media reports that Prime Minister Iurie Leanca prepares a round of firings and hirings, IPN reports.

Valeriu Strelet said the Premier didn’t inform their party or the Coalition’s Council about such an act. However, the Cabinet is a living body that is always changing. “If a certain part of this mechanism does not work as expected, changes should be made to increase the efficiency of the governmental team. But this is at theoretical level only,” he stated.

Igor Corman said they didn’t have discussions about Cabinet reshuffles in the coalition. “We will not comment on rumors disseminated by the media,” he added.

Quoting sources in the Government, Publika TV channel informed that the Premier is dissatisfied with the work of Minister of the Interior Dorin Recean, ICT Minister Pavel Filip, head of the State Main Tax Inspectorate Ion Prisacaru and of Minister of the Environment Gheorghe Salaru.
