No electoral council will be set up in Transnistria
The Central Election Commission approved a decision to constitute 36 district electoral councils. No electoral council will be set up in Transnistria as there were fielded no candidates for the post of members of the council, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Under the Electoral Code, 11 members should be accredited in order to create a district electoral council – at least three jurists, a representative of the local public administration, 4 persons designated by the district council or the municipal council, in the case of Chisinau and Balti, and the others put up by parliamentary political parties.
