The bomb squad found no bomb inside the Parliament Building. The person who warned the police about the planting of the bomb by email at midday hasn’t been yet identified, IPN reports.

According to the press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati, a criminal case was started to establish all the circumstances of this case. The author of the bomb scare faces a maximum fine of 10,000 lei and a maximum jail term of two years.

When the police received the letter, a protest organized by the Party of Socialists was being mounted in front of the Parliament Building. Sympathizers of the Political Party “Our Party” continued the same protest afterward.
