Nine-year-old triple murder case sent to court

After about 10 years since the disappearance of three men, the Prosecutor General's Office (PG) identified the organizer of the murder and sent the criminal case to the Ialoveni Court for examination, Info-Prim Neo reports. In 2001, the Prosecutor's Office of Centru district opened investigations after the alarmed relatives informed about the disappearance of the three men. All the versions have been examined, but the whereabouts of the men could not be determined, the PG says in a communique. Human bones were found in 2008 in a wood situated along the Chisinau-Hancesti road. Examinations showed they might belong to the three men. In 2009, the PG and the Ministry of the Interior identified the alleged culprits. It was established that the person who ordered the murder was a co-villager and a friend of the victims. They ran a joint business and had a quarrel over a debt. With the help of four accomplices, the man arranged a meeting with the three co-villagers not far from Ialoveni town. After keeping them tied in a house for four days, they shot them. The bodies were taken to the wood and burned. Last August, the organizer of the triple murder was arrested. The four accomplices are wanted.
