Nine registered for Chisinau Mayoral Race to date
The District Election Council of the Municipality of Chisinau (DECMC) has registered today 3 more candidates decided to run for Mayor General.
According to the chairman of the Council, Ion Cretu, these are Alexandru Corduneanu, on behalf of People’s Christian Democrat Party, Valentin Krylov, Electoral Bloc “Patria-Rodina-Ravnopravie”, and Eduard Musuc, on behalf of the Social Democrat Party of Moldova.
The three candidates will be included in the ballots under the numbers 7, 8 and 9, respectively, after on Friday, at the first working session, DECMC registered the first five candidates and on Saturday the sixth, Zinaida Zorin, the Conservative Party.
The Party of Communists will participate in the elections with the interim mayor Veaceslav Iordan. For the same office are running Ion Mereuta, the Humanist Party, candidate of “Moldova Noastra” Alliance Leonid Bujor, Vladimir Filat, representing the “Democrat Party” and Dorin Chirtoaca, on behalf of the Liberal Party.
The candidates can submit the necessary documents daily (excepting weekends), between 9.00 and 18.00, with the lunch break between 13.00 and 4.00. The office of DECMC is located in the premises of the City Hall.
