Eight men and one woman are being investigated for selling illegal drugs on the internet. The Special Cases Prosecution Service said it seized 700,000 lei worth of drugs.

According to the investigation, the woman was keeping the drugs in a rented apartment and, on orders of the gang’s leaders, would pass them to couriers who would subsequently place the drugs in caches all over Chisinau.

The network was dealing in marijuana, mephedrone, ecstasy, cocaine and “bath salts”. The seizure also included 18,000 lei, 8,600 euros and 1,000 dollars in cash.
