The Central Election Commission on September 2 registered nine initiative groups for collecting signatures in support of the candidates for President of Moldova and issued the groups with permits and subscription lists, IPN reports.

The initiative groups will collect signatures until September 29, in accordance with the legal provisions.

Thus, there were registered initiative groups for collecting signatures in support of the following candidates: Dumitru Chubashenko, of the “Our Party”; Andrei Nastase, of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth”; Mihai Ghimpu, of the Liberal Party; Maia Sandu, of the Party “Action and Solidarity”; Iurie Leanca, of the European People’s Party of Moldova; Igor Dodon, of the Party of Socialists, and Marian Lupu, of the Democratic Party.

There were also registered the initiative groups of the independent candidates Mihai Corj and Artur Croitor.
