The National Army sappers during the first days of September demined nine explosive devices in settlements of Causeni, Soroca, Orhei, and Cahul districts. On September 8, the military sappers were called to Causeni town, where they identified an aviation bomb weighing 50 kg, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Defense, the aviation bomb made in Germany dates from World War II and was discovered during construction works in the yard of the house of a person.

The Sappers Division head, Colonel Mihail Semionov said that the combat engineers of the National Army this year have performed 121 demining operations and liquidated over 1,200 explosive devices in different settlements of the country.
