Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, will be paying a working visit to the United States during April 18-19. The visit marks the holding of the thematic joint working groups within the Strategic Dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and the United States organized on the occasion of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Moldova-U.S. diplomatic relation, IPN reports.
While in Washington, Minister Popescu will have a bilateral meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken with whom he will discuss ways of extending the bilateral cooperation in the political and economic sectors, of building socioeconomic resilience and the development assistance projects implemented with support from the U.S. He will also meet with high-ranking officials, representatives of the business community, civil society, think tanks and with journalists, according to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
Moldova’s delegation includes high-ranking officials of the President’s Office, the Premier’s Cabinet, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development and the Public Services Agency.
