Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, said that the expectations of the European Political Community Summit are big. “Evidently, we want our accession to the European Union to be accelerated,” the official stated for IPN.
“The firmer and safer anchoring of the Republic of Moldova in the family of European states is also an expectation. This fact enables us to further ensure peace and stability in our country owing to and with the support of our European partners,” stated Nicu Popescu.
The minister noted that half of the invited delegations arrived in Moldova on Wednesday, May 31. The others arrived or still arrive today. Two of the invited delegations didn’t confirm their presence, including Turkey.
