In less than a month after becoming junior world champion, weightlifter Nicoleta Cojocaru triumphed at the European U15 Championships. Gabriela Danilov also won three medals - one gold and two silvers, IPN reports.

The National Olympic and Sports Committee said that Nicoleta Cojocaru was the best in the up to 55 kg category and won three gold medals. In snatch, she lifted 81 kilograms, setting a new record. In clean and jerk, she lifted 98 kilograms. With a total of 179 kilograms, the athlete from the Republic of Moldova became, for the second time in a row, U15 European champion.

The supreme title was also won by Gabriela Danilov, who competed in the up to 45 kg category. She lifted 60 kilograms in snatch and 71 kilograms in clean and jerk. In both cases, the weightlifter received the silver medal. Overall, Moldova’s representative accumulated 131 kilograms and climbed on to the highest step on the winners’ rostrum.
