Nicolaie Timofti awards State honors

President Nicolaie Timofti awarded State honors to a group of civilians, as a token of the great appreciation of their efforts towards the well-being of the country, for their long-lasting illustrious work in their specialization fields, and for high professional mastership, the President's Office said in a press release. “National Order”, the highest State award, was given to executive director of the Unit for Implementing and Administering the Food Production Increase Project - 2 KR Valeriu Bulgari; consultant professor at the “Nicolaie Testemitanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy Natalia Cherdivarenco; dean of faculty at the “Nicolaie Testemitanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy Ion Corcimaru, and associate professor at State University Vladimir Lavric. The President also offered, post-mortem, the “Stefan cel Mare” award as a sign of high praise and acknowledgement of the courage and sacrificial spirit shown during the plane crash from May 27, 2005 on Marculesti aerodrome. The award was given to superior pilot Vasile Pantea. The “Credinta Patriei” decoration, of 3rd degree, was offered to technicians Valeriu Ceaglei and Eugeniu Lisneac, and to pilot Valeriu Slovineanu. “Order of Honor” went to Transport Electric Company head Gheorghe Morgoci, Mayor of Cricova town Valentin Gutan, Mayor of Tabani village, Briceni district, Gheorghii Gaina, “Teleradio-Moldova” cameraman Victor Cuznetov et al. Nicolaie Timofti also awarded other citizens with the following titles: the medal “For Bravery”, “Civil Merit” medal, “Nicolaie Testemitanu” medal, and honor titles “Artist of the People” and “Emeritus”.
