Nicolai Dudoglo does not believe that court will do him justice

Mayor of Comrat Nicolai Dudoglo, who ran in the elections for the Governor of Gagauzia, has little hope that the court will do him justice and will order a rerun of the elections because of vote rigging. “I expect that justice will be made, but I started to doubt that this will happen. It is hard to believe that the court will rule in my favor after Lupu (Moldova's Acting President Marian Lupu – e.n.) presented Formuzal (Mihail Formuzal) as Governor of Gagauzia and he was sworn in as a member of the Filat Government,” Nicolai Dudoglo stated for Info-Prim Neo. The mayor of Comrat said he provided evidence that the elections were rigged, there was multiple voting and that electors voted instead of dead persons. Nicolai Dudoglo demands a vote recount, verifying the electoral rolls and examining the ballots. Nicolai Dudoglo's electoral staff on January 17 issued a press release, saying a number of participants in the previous hearing on this case noticed that the Comrat electoral authority was biased towards one of the supporters of Mihail Formuzal. The examination of the case continues today, January 19. The hearing started at 10.00.
