Nicolae Timofti to meet Traian Basescu and other Romanian officials in Bucharest

Moldova’s President Nicolae Timofti will have a meeting with his Romanian counterpart Traian Basescu in Bucharest today, May 3. The official visit to Romania is the second trip made by Nicolae Timofti abroad since his investiture. Vladimir Sarban, deputy secretary general of the President’s apparatus, has told Info-Prim Neo that all the meetings with Romanian officials will take place today and tomorrow the head of state will return to the country. Nicolae Timofti will also meet with the Chairwoman of the Chamber of Deputies Roberta Anastase, the President of the Senate Vasile Blaga and the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, His Holiness Daniel. The Moldovan delegation includes Minister of Justice Oleg Efrim, Minister of Regional Development and Construction Marcel Raducan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Andrei Popov, and Deputy Minister of Economy Octavian Calmac. The President paid the first visit abroad to Brussels on April 26.
