President Nicolae Timofti has announced the resumption of consultations with the parliamentary groups, with a view to designating a candidate for the post of Prime Minister, on February 13, IPN reports, quoting the presidential press service.

The consultations will be held at short intervals of time so that a new government is invested within the constitutional time frames.

On February 12, the Cabinet proposed by the candidate for premiership Iurie Leanca could not garner the 51 votes of MP needed to be voted in.
