Moldova’s President Nicolae Timofti was met with military honors and the national anthem “Our Language” at the State Residence situated at 23 Nicolae Iorga St in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. Former Acting President Marian Lupu waited for him at the residence and they together stepped along the red carpet and greeted the soldiers of the Guard of Honor. Before the protocol military ceremony, Nicolae Timofti laid flowers at the monument to Stephan the Great, after being sworn in as President. Nicolae Timofti was elected President of Moldova on March 16.
