President Nicolae Timofti does not agree with the decisions taken by the Constitutional Court, by which three decrees that he signed recently were declared unconstitutional, but will obey them. The head of state made statements during a ceremony held to mark 20 years of the foundation of the Public Administration Academy under the President of Moldova on May 21, IPN reports.

Nicolae Timofti said he will explain publicly his position later, after the Constitutional Court pronounces on the other related challenges examined by it.

The Court ruled that the President’s decrees to nominate Vlad Filat for premiership and to dismiss Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Moldovanu and Minister of Transport Anatol Salaru, at the suggestion of the interim Premier, are unconstitutional.
