The consultations of the head of state and the PLDM, PDM, PL and the Leanca group will continue on Friday, December 18. After the discussions held on December 16, Nicolae Timofti said that now the parties holding talks to form a ruling alliance are not ready to vote in a candidate, IPN reports.

The head of state told the press that they discussed the nomination of a candidate for premiership, but the representatives of the parties haven’t reached an agreement in this regard. Therefore, it was decided to continue the consultations on Friday.

The head of state has the prerogative to nominate a candidate for Prime Minister, after holding consultations with the parliamentary parties.
