President Nicolae Timofti on March 13 issued an decree to award the order “Stefan cel Mare” on the ex-President of Romania Traian Basescu, who was the supreme commander of the Armed Forces of Romania, IPN reports.
The order was conferred on Traian Basescu in gratitude for his special contribution to promoting the stability, security and democracy in the region and for the constant support provided to Moldova in the process of training staff in the areas of defense, security and public order.
The order “Stefan cel Mare” is the highest military award of Moldova.
