Nicolae Timofti: AEI will not get involved in formation of my team

Moldova’s President Nicolae Timofti said the leaders of the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) will not become involved in the formation of his team. In the program “In Profunzime” on Pro TV channel, he stated that he may keep some of the persons who formed part of the team of former Acting President Marian Lupu, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“I was offered to run for President unexpectedly and I did not come with a team. It won’t be easy to constitute a team. I made offers to my colleagues, but some of them do not want to leave the job of jurist,” said Nicolae Timofti.
He also said that he did not make offers to persons from other areas as he does not have colleagues there. He stressed that advisers Vasile Sturza and Vladimir Ciobanu of Marian Lupu’s team may form part of his team. “I will meet with them the coming days to discuss this issue,” stated the head of state.
Nicolae Timofti said that among his main goals are to support the Government in its efforts to revitalize the economy and create new workplaces, to increase the pensions and salaries, to encourage the reform in the justice sector and to combat corruption.
