The State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemițanu” published online the intermediary results of the 2020-2021 admission contest. As many as 1,625 applications have been submitted this year, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the institution.
Of the total number of files accepted for the contest, 1,302 or 80.1% of the candidates took part in the competition based on Baccalaureate diplomas, while the others based on professional education diplomas, secondary school graduation certificates or bachelor’s or higher education diplomas.
A number of 42.7 persons per place applied to the Stomatology Faculty (ten places available), 15.7 persons per place to the Faculty of Pharmacy (10 places), 5.4 persons per place to the Faculty of Optometry (5 places), 4.6 persons per place to the Faculty of General Medical Assistance (10 places), 2.6 candidates per person to the Faculty of Radiological Technology (ten places), 2.35 candidates per place to the Faculty of Medicine (380 places) and 2.3 candidates to the Public Health Faculty (15 places).
To take part in the final admission contest, the candidates must present the original official papers until August 18. The candidates who didn’t pass the intermediary admission contest, but want to take part in the final contest can file the documents in the original by the set time limits. To submit the documents in the original, the candidates can schedule an appointment on 022 205 200 or 032 205 200. A proxy can also file the documents in the original.
This year, the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemițanu” offers the Moldovan citizens 440 Bachelor’s higher education and integrated studies budget-funded places, by 35 more than last year. Of these, 25 budget-funded places are intended for candidates from the eastern districts of Moldova. The number of contract places was increased from 342 to 596, by the decision of the university’s executive bodies.
