Nicolae Radita: The Roma must vote and not be indifferent to fate of their country

The Roma must not be indifferent to what is going on in Moldova and must go and vote. This way they will show they are active and contribute to the democratic processes in society and to the development of their country, head of the National Roma Center of Moldova Nicolae Radita stated for IPN.

According to him, for participation in decision-making to be ensured, it is very important for the people to go and vote. “It is important for the Roma to find an answer to the questions, thoughts and problems they face in society and to choose the person whom they will delegate to deal with these,” said Nicolae Radita.

He also said it is important for the person who will be elected President to ensure political and economic stability in the country and decent living conditions for the people. The new President must also ensure good relations with the neighbors from the West and from the East so that the people can travel freely to relatives and friends. This must also fight corruption and restore people’s confidence in the law enforcement bodies. “The Roma, in particular, are exposed to the risk of not being protected by the law enforcement agencies and the new President must ensure their right to projection,” stated Nicolae Radita.
