Nicolae Juravschi made public his decision to leave the parliamentary group of the Liberal Democratic Party and the party too. In a statement published on his Facebook page, the MP says his decision was influenced by the developments inside the PLDM, IPN reports.
“I regret the way in which Iurie Leanca was removed from the party and I think his leaving seriously affected the PLDM’s image, favoring division inside the party. My decision to enter politics was determined mainly by the wish to contribute to developing sports. I made considerable effort to convince the politicians of the importance of this field, but didn’t get support for making considerable changes,” said Nicolae Juravschi.
He noted that as an unaffiliated MP, together with Iurie Leanca and Eugen Carpov (former Liberal-Democratic MPs who are now unaffiliated), he will contribute to achieving the objectives for which the PLDM was voted in the November 2014 legislative elections.
Now that Nicolae Juravschi leaves, the Liberal-Democratic faction will have 20 members.
