Nicolae Josan: I’m afraid the crowd will get out of control

Nicolae Josan, one of the leaders of the Platform “Dignity and Truth”, is concerned that the peaceful protests could degenerate. He made related statements in the talk show “Place for dialogue” on Radio Moldova station, IPN reports.

“The idea of staging a march last Sunday appeared spontaneously. We could hardly keep the people under control. We did everything possible for the protests to be peaceful. The police noticed this. But the people are very angry, especially with the way the Government was voted in. Ghimpu, whom we trusted many years, betrayed us. I’m afraid the crowd will get out of control,” he stated.

Lawyer Vitalii Nagacevschi said the protesters should accept the fact that the Cabinet was voted in. “I hope those who protest will not resort to violence and extreme gestures. We have a legitimate government that was recognized by the government of other states. It’s clear that not all the procedures were respected before the vote, but the MPs were hampered and had no other way out. Though indirectly, the Constitutional Court confirmed the legitimacy of the Cabinet,” stated the lawyer.
