The Winter European Youth Olympic Festival that is held in the Romanian town of Brasov closed. On February 21, biathlete Nicolae Gaiduc ranked 70th out of 78 competitors in the 7.5 km sprint, Info-Prim Neo reports. With six targets missed at the shooting range, he finished almost five minutes behind the winner - Emilien Jacquelin from France. Earlier, Gaiduc took the 72th position in the individual 12.5 km race. The other representative of Moldova, skier Liviu Dubalari, also achieved modest results: the 80th place in the classical-style 7.5 km race, and the 76th place in the 10 km freestyle skiing. Moldova took part in the Winter European Youth Olympic Festival for the second time. The first time the Moldovan athletes participated in the competition in 2011, in Liberec, the Czech Republic.
