Nicolae Chirtoaca: Nomination of Plahotniuc will crystalize oligarchic regime

The nomination of Vladimir Plahotniuc for the post of Prime Minister will be the last stage of strengthening the oligarchic regime, political analyst Nicolae Chirtoaca said in the talk show “Place for dialogue” on Radio Moldova station, IPN reports.

“A Government led by Plahotniuc will stop the reforms and will only simulate their implementation. For the oligarchic regime, it is not convenient to do reforms, especially in justice, which could undermine its power. The candidacy of Plahotniuc is not accepted by the foreign partners, including Romania,” stated the analyst.

According to him, if Plahotniuc is not nominated for premiership, there will be fielded a candidate loyal to him. “A number of names are rumored inside the PDM, but not the professionalism, but loyalty to Plahotniuc will count. The future Premier will be a puppet,” he stated.

Nicolae Chirtoaca leveled criticism at the seven MPs of the PLDM who joined the parliamentary majority and at the PL, which decided to vote the PDM’s candidate.
