NGOs given more time to apply to seminar on strategic planning
The deadline for applying to take part in the training seminar on strategic planning, organized within the project “Development of Civil Society Organizations' Capacity for a Successful Public-Private Partnership”, was extended.
Mihai Nani, consultant on monitoring and assessment of the Center “Pro Comunitate”, stated for Info-Prim Neo that the seminar will allow the NGOs to develop a series of services in the community. “We will teach the NGOs to devise plans for developing the organizations or communities so as to be able to provide services in continuation,” said Mihai Nani.
The project is aimed at increasing the self-financing opportunities. The seminar has two sessions that will last for five days each. They will take place in June-July. The first session represents the theoretical part within which teams of facilitators will familiarize themselves with the strategic planning methodology proposed by trainers of the Center “Pro Comunitate”. The second stage centers on the formulation of strategic plans for socially and economically developing a community.
Initially, the project covered only Straseni district. It was later extended as the number of organizations working in Straseni that met the minimum conditions required was too low. “We decided to allow NGOs from other districts to apply so as to motivate the qualified ones to take part in the seminar,” said Mihai Nani.
The applying NGOs must work with young people, have experience of at least two years and at least four employees. The deadline for applications is May 20.
The seminar forms part of the Moldova Civil Society Strengthening Program, financed by USAID and implemented by AED.
