About 50 public administration officials and representatives of NGOs came together for a session organized by the “Contact-Cahul” Center and the Regional Development Agency “Sud”, where they discussed problems concerning regional development, Info-Prim Neo reports. There were highlighted the most important aspects as regards the implementation of the regional development policies, the results achieved and the existent challenges and constraints. The participants discussed strategic approaches to regional development, with emphasis on the economic development. They stressed the necessity of establishing intraregional communication. The event was held within the From Local to Regional Development Project implemented by “Contact-Cahul” as part of the Moldova Civil Society Strengthening Program, which aims to foster regional development in Moldova, especially in the Development Region “Sud”.
