The Moldovan Association “Motivatie” (“Motivation”) is launching the awareness and fund raising campaign “A Step to Mobility” that is aimed at helping the persons with disabilities. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the NGOs’ executive director Igor Mereacre said they planned a number of activities to inform the society about the situation of the persons with disabilities. “The first activities will take place on August 27 and 31. Immediately after the military parade, mobile teams will distribute leaflets in the Great National Assembly Square and the central public garden of Chisinau. They will also carry boxes to collect donations,” said Igor Mereacre. The Association intends to open a handicrafts workshop for persons with disabilities with the raised money so that they have one more source of livelihood besides pension. The campaign will close on December 3, 2012.
