For the New Year’s Eve, the public TV channel Moldova 1 prepared a special program that consists of two parts – folk music and international hits.

Contacted by IPN, Teodor Gutu, the project’s general producer, said the program starts at 21:55 with “Traditional customs and Moldovan song”. This includes folk music, songs, dances and greetings poems. Among those who will perform are Nicolae Glib, Larisa Arseni, Suzana Popescu, Ion Paladi, Igor Cuciuc, Igor Rusu and others

At 11:55pm, the President will present his congratulatory address. The second part of the program, called “Songs from all over the world”, starts after midnight. Such singers as Geta Burlacu, Cristina Scarlat, SunStroke Project, Ion Suruceanu, Olia Tira, Vitalie Dani, and Nelly Ciobanu will perform international hits in retro style, from different repertoires. The program ends after 3am.
