Fuels will be more expensive in the coming year. The National Agency for Energy Regulation approved the specific trade margin for the retailing of gasoline and diesel fuel, valid for the first semester of 2025, IPN reports, with reference to a press release issued by the Agency.
The new trade margin reflects the evolution of the consumer price index in the last 6 months and is by 0.06 lei/liter higher than the previous margin.
Between January and June 2025, the formula used by the Agency to daily calculate the highest retail prices of of petroleum products will include total margins of 3.34 lei per liter for gasoline and 3.35 lei per liter for diesel fuel.
Also, starting with January 1, 2025, the fuel prices will gradually include the new excise duty rates stipulated in the Fiscal Code, which envision an increase of 578.16 lei per tonne of gasoline and of 243.28 lei per tonne of diesel fuel.
According to the Agency, the current mechanism for setting fuel prices is closely correlated with the developments on international oil markets.
