Two persons were seriously injured in a traffic accident at the intersection of Mihail Kogalniceanu and Sfatul Tarii streets in Chisinau. Paulina Iakimovski, the head of the Traffic Police Division's Public Relations Service, told Info-Prim Neo that an Opel-Astra collided with a Volkswagen-Golf, which was propelled into a Mercedes minibus running on route No. 124. Two persons sustained injuries. According to the ambulance service, the driver of the Volkswagen suffered an associated trauma and contusions of the thorax and the backbone. A minibus passenger sustained a concussion. During many years, Info-Prim Neo reported about a large number of accidents that happened at the mentioned intersection, which is considered one of the most dangerous in Chisinau. A 62-year-old man was struck by a VAZ-2105 on Calea Iesilor St. The driver left the place of the accident. The victim got his left shoulder injured and was taken to the Emergency Hospital. On the same street, a truck with Russian registration numbers crashed into a VAZ car. The 69-year-old passenger of the car sustained traumas of the thorax and was hospitalized. The four road accidents that happened in Moldova on Monday, February 1, resulted in five persons injured.
