Five more trolleybuses with autonomous propulsion will be put into circulation in Chisinau municipality by the end of August. These will be the first units of transport with air conditioning assembled by the Chisinau Electric Transport Company from Belarusian pars, IPN reports.

The Company’s director Dorin Chernyi said they are now installing the accumulators and adjusting the main electrical systems of the five units of transport. The optical guidance systems of the trolleybuses will be modified so that these are fully outfitted with LED lights. A trolleybus costs €214,000. The necessary amount was planned in the 2018 municipal budget.

The Chisinau City Hall said 15 more trolleybuses will be supplied by the Belarus factory for final assembly to the Electric Transport Company by the end of this year. Ten trolleybuses of these will be with autonomous propulsion and air conditioning systems, while five will be spring-loaded poles.
