New training program for Transnistrian NGOs
The "Contact" Centre launches a new round of the Training Programme for the civil society in the Transnistrian region as part of the project "The non-governmental organisations from the Transnistrian area participating in the Moldovan associative life,” Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the organizers, the project aims at strengthening the capacities of the leaders of the civil society from the Transnistrian area by getting to know the practices and know-how of the Moldovan non-governmental organizations and by connecting the NGOs from the Transnistrian area to the info-flow within the Moldovan non-governmental sector.
In this Training Program, the "Contact" Centre offers the representatives of NGOs from the Transnistrian area the opportunity to get the training at one of the experienced NGOs from the right bank of the Nistru River; to get experience, practical knowledge and new skills in managing and developing the organisation; to establish business and partnership relationships; to get access to information. Also, the NGOs have the opportunity to individually choose the organisation and time period to get the training, to participate in the Training Program for all the organisation workers concomitantly and to get the graduation certificate.
The Program is implemented with the financial support provided by the Soros Moldova-Foundation and is carried out in partnership with experienced and active non-governmental organisations from Moldova, dealing with mass-media, human rights, society, education.
The leaders and active members of non-governmental organisations and initiative groups, students and socially-active people from the Transnistrian area can participate in the Training Programme. The "Contact" Centre insures the trainees’ accommodation, meals, transportation and per diem.
In 2007, the main beneficiaries of the project were 29 representatives of the civil society from the Transnistrian region, who got training at non-governmental organisations from the right bank of the Nistru, participated in informing trips to regions, enjoyed informal training at seminars and workshops. The project results, the conditions for 2008, as well as the participants’ opinions will be presented on February 26, 2008.
The "Contact" Centre has supported the civic initiative, the community and NGO development in the Transnistrian region since 2003.
