The municipal agency Exdrupo has started the construction of a new traffic lane at the intersection of the streets Socoleni and Calea Orheiului in Chisinau’s Riscani sector.

The lane will facilitate the transit of vehicles turning right from Socoleni Street, placing them on Calea Orheiului towards the city center.

The project provides for the arrangement of refuge islands for pedestrians in the intersection, the relocation of utility poles and the modernization of traffic lights.

Last year, a similar project was carried on the opposite side of the intersection where an additional turning lane for vehicles from Calea Orheiului to Studentilor Street was set up.
