A new suspect is investigated in the case of smuggling of over €1.5 million discovered at the Leușeni customs post. The Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases said this is Moldova citizen Adriano Dulgher, IPN reports.

Adriano Dulgher sent an email message to the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases, saying the money belongs to him. He was summoned and questioned as a suspect on May 11.

The investigation continues so as to establish all the circumstances of this case and the results will be made public later.

A sum of over €1.5 million was found in a truck at the Leușeni customs post on April 18. Later, the police announced that they found another €50,000 after disassembling the truck’s glove box. The truck driver was remanded in custody.
