A new square is to be built in Râșcani district of Chisinau, at 80 Albișoara St, starting with the middle of March. The General Public Amenities Division announced a tender contest to choose the contractor that will execute the works.
Vasile Efros, the head of the Division’s Territorial Development Unit, has told IPN that the square will be set up close to apartment buildings.
“It is an abandoned area where bushes mainly grew. There will be built sidewalks for locals and a fitness ground and installed about 20 wooden and metal benches and approximately 20 garbage bins. A lighting system will also be built,” stated Vasile Efros.
The works on the recreational area will last for about two months. A sum of 800,000 lei was earmarked in the municipal budget for the purpose.
Bids to the tender contest can be submitted by March 1, 10am.
