The Communist councilors consider the preparation of the education institutions for the new school year and of the housing stock for the cold season should be among the Municipal Council’s priorities, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We have many proposals and all are important. At first, we must take steps to prepare the institutions for the new school year. It is only several weeks before September 1, but the schools in Chisinau are not ready,” lawmaker Igor Dodon, who entered the Chisinau Council on the Communist ticket, said Friday. According to him, the Council should also focus on the preparations for winter. “As far as we know, the price of gas will increase to almost US$400 per 1 000 cubic meters in the fourth quarter of the year. As a result, the heat charges will rise by 30%. If the City Hall and the Municipal Council do not start the preparations, there will be problems in winter,” said Igor Dodon. “The councilors should come to work so that we gradually solve all the problems faced by the municipality. In the next meetings we will see who really wants to work,” Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said, commenting on the priorities enumerated by Igor Dodon.
